It was my pleasure and honor to be crowned on June 7, 2008 along with Miss Long Beach 2008 Lana Luyben. During our reign, Lana and I will serve as goodwill ambassadors for our city of just under half a million residents. In addition, we will also spend this time bringing awareness to our chosen causes. Lana has chosen to champion Breast Cancer Research and I will be focusing on Youth Helping Youth - connecting our city's youth to volunteer opportunities specifically designed to support those under 18.
